Job Overview

  • Position: Accounting Clerk: Asset and Inventory
  • Location: Vhembe District – Thohoyandou, Limpopo
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Field: Finance / Accounting / Audit

Key Responsibilities

As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Maintain and update accurate asset records and databases.
  • Check and issue furniture, equipment, and accessories to various departments and staff members.
  • Identify equipment that is redundant, non-serviceable, or obsolete for proper disposal.
  • Regularly verify and update the asset register.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in computer use (Computer Literacy).
  • A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
  • A qualification in Financial Management will be considered a strong advantage.

Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills:

  • Knowledge of financial systems and debtors management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
  • Basic negotiation and advanced financial management skills.
