Lancet Laboratories SA is a leading pathology provider in South Africa, offering vital diagnostic services across all nine provinces and several other African countries. We are currently seeking a professional and detail-oriented Admin Clerk-Data Capturer for a permanent position in Kimberley.

Job Overview

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems and organizational procedures is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all patient data is handled accurately and that administrative processes run smoothly. Main duties include:

  • Data Capturing: Accurately entering patient information and medical aid details into the system from doctor’s report forms.
  • Administrative Support: Managing the reception area, assisting with the switchboard, and ordering office stationery.
  • Laboratory Logistics: Dispatching medical specimens, tracking courier deliveries, and performing hospital rounds to collect samples and distribute reports.
  • Customer Service: Handling patient queries and complaints professionally, receiving payments, and ensuring the reception area offers excellent service.
  • Quality Control: Checking registration forms for accuracy and investigating any delays in the laboratory process.
  • Maintenance: Keeping the workspace clean, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring laboratory equipment is in good working order.
