Job Overview
The Department is looking for an Admin Clerk to assist with the formal registration and administrative support of public transport operations. This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates with a Matric certificate who are looking to gain experience in a professional environment.
Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate (Matric).
- No previous experience is required, though exposure to an administrative environment will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Registration Support: Help formalize public transport operations by validating documents for the registration and de-registration of operators and their vehicles.
- Database Maintenance: Update and manage the registration database. This includes requesting updated member lists from associations and processing de-registrations for inactive members.
- Correspondence: Assist in drafting official letters to members and preparing internal memorandums for approval and data capturing.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that registered operators and associations follow minimum standards. This includes helping with voter education, nominations, and the election process for transport associations.
- Coordination: Assist in organizing training sessions for newly elected association executives and help coordinate Annual General Meetings.
