Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Admin Clerk / Receptionist to join our team in Mpumalanga. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, recording, and distributing medical samples to ensure they are processed quickly and accurately. You will also manage the front desk, providing excellent service to patients and medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample Management: Sort and distribute medical samples according to standard procedures. Ensure all specimens are correctly logged and sent to the appropriate laboratories for testing.
- Administration: Track sample deliveries by couriers to ensure they arrive on time. Investigate any delays in the laboratory process and resolve them quickly.
- Reception & Customer Service: Manage the reception area, greet clients, and direct them to the correct departments. Handle administrative queries and customer complaints professionally.
- Hospital Rounds: Visit hospital wards to collect samples and deliver medical reports.
- Financial Tasks: Receive payments from patients and handle daily banking duties.
- Data Entry: Scan patient forms into the digital system and resolve any data errors.
- Stock Control: Monitor office and medical supplies, ordering new stock when necessary to ensure the facility remains fully equipped.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is prepared according to health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent NQF level 4 qualification. A BSc degree is considered an advantage.
- Experience: 0 to 1 year of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
