Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- An NQF Level 6 or National Diploma in Public Management.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working in an administrative environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide essential support to the sub-directorate. Duties include:
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Provide administrative support for monitoring and evaluating municipal performance.
- Collect and organize performance data from various municipalities.
- Help compile reports on key areas such as service delivery, local economic development, and good governance.
- Collect annual, quarterly, and mid-term reports to ensure compliance.
- Assist in responding to questions from the Parliament and Legislature.
General Administration and Logistics
- Coordinate HR-related matters within the sub-directorate.
- Manage meeting logistics and general administrative functions.
- Draft official documents, including submissions, memos, and letters.
- Maintain an efficient physical and digital filing system.
- Handle telephone accounts and petty cash.
Procurement and Asset Management
- Request quotes and assist with the procurement of office equipment and supplies.
- Maintain the asset register and assist with asset management tasks.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for staff.
- Process travel and subsistence claims.
- Help prepare financial and budget inputs.
