Administrative Officer: Finance Administration (Expenditure)
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is responsible for providing public healthcare to the residents of the Western Cape province. We are currently looking for a dedicated Administrative Officer to join our Finance Administration team.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Mathematics or Accounting. Applicants without these subjects may be considered if they have equivalent experience in the key performance areas of this role.
- Experience: Relevant experience in Revenue (Patient Administration and medical records) and working within a hospital administration environment.
- License: A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with the AR System, Clinicom, and BAS.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of UPFS, PFMA, Chapter 18, state money handling, and patient records management.
- Personal Skills: Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills. You should be able to work well in a team and handle tasks effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility: A willingness to travel and work after hours when necessary.
