About the Position

The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is seeking a qualified Administration Clerk to support our Supply Chain Management team, specifically within the Assets division. This department is responsible for delivering essential public healthcare services to the residents of the Western Cape province.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Senior Certificate (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant knowledge and practical experience in Supply Chain Management and Asset Management.

Core Competencies and Skills

  • Computer Literacy: Essential proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Administration: Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial Knowledge: A solid understanding of Asset Management environments and government financial systems.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of financial administration protocols, including the PFMA, National Treasury Regulations, and Provincial Instructions.
  • Policy Application: Familiarity with departmental policies, official delegations, and financial procedures.
  • Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Systems: Practical experience with Electronic Procurement Solutions (EPS) and ESL.
