Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Administrative Officer to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with provincial regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Education: A Degree or Diploma in Financial Accounting (NQF Level 6 or higher).
  • Experience: Between 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Financial Services.
  • License: A valid Code B driver’s license or higher.

Required Knowledge and Skills

The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the following:

  • Systems: Proficiency in SCOA, Persal, and the BAS system.
  • Legislation: Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Income Tax Act, and Labour Relations procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, professional writing, verbal communication, and excellent organizational planning.
  • Personal Attributes: We are looking for an individual who is honest, reliable, and maintains high levels of confidentiality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpreting and applying financial legislation and policies.
  • Managing internal and external reporting procedures.
  • Ensuring departmental objectives and financial processes are followed accurately.
  • Handling administrative tasks related to bookkeeping and accounting services.
