Role Overview
We are looking for a professional Administrative Officer to act as a Disability Assistant specifically supporting the visually impaired. This role involves a mix of direct support services and general office administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities.
- Manage and deliver administrative services.
- Assist with disability awareness campaigns, special events, and training programs.
Job Requirements
- A recognized Bachelor’s Degree or NQF Level 6 qualification.
- An additional qualification in Public Administration is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
- A valid driver’s license (this is not required for persons with disabilities).
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with disability services, orientation and mobility skills, and financial policies (PFMA).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal relations.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in standard office computer software.
- Problem Solving: Ability to handle conflict, manage time effectively, and solve work-related challenges.
- Professionalism: Strong leadership, project management, and customer service focus.
