The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is responsible for providing public healthcare services to the people of the Western Cape province. We are looking for a professional and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Officer in Human Resource Development (People Development).

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education: A Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role. You should have a background in Human Resource Development and Management, as well as experience in writing reports and managing databases.
  • License: A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
  • Travel: A willingness to travel across the province as required by the job.

Skills and Competencies

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Computer Literacy: The ability to use various computer applications independently and efficiently.
  • Legislative Knowledge: An understanding of People Management and Development laws, specifically the Nursing Act and the Health Professions Act regarding community service.
  • Data Management: The ability to collect and organize data to create clear management reports.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to work well with others and handle professional pressure effectively.
