About the Department
The mission of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport is to provide a road transportation system that is safe, integrated, regulated, affordable, and accessible. The Department focuses on constructing and maintaining a balanced provincial road network to improve mobility across the region.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Senior Certificate or National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in administrative roles.
- A valid Code B driver’s license.
Knowledge and Competencies
Successful candidates should possess knowledge in the following areas:
- The Constitution of South Africa and the Public Service Act.
- Public Service Regulations and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Supply Chain Management practices and procedures.
- Employee Performance and Management Systems (EPMDS).
- Legislation regarding the Promotion of Access to Information and Administrative Justice.
- Project management and implementation processes.

- Financial management and analytical skills.
