About the Position

The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer to join our Public Transport Services team in the Vhembe District. Our mission is to provide safe, sustainable, and integrated transport infrastructure while promoting socio-economic development and maintaining safety through effective oversight.

Key Responsibilities

As an Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing transport operations and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your duties will include:

  • Investigating matters related to illegal public transport operations.
  • Inspecting subsidized contract agreements and general transport permits.
  • Monitoring bus schedules, routes, and taxi operations.
  • Overseeing scholar transport services and animal-drawn carts.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Transport Planning, Transport Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Transport Economics, or Transport Operations.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar or related field.
  • License: A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
