About the Position

The Limpopo Office of the Premier is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer to join the Supply Chain Management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing procurement processes and ensuring service excellence within the provincial government.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and sourcing price quotations from various suppliers.
  • Communicating and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Accurately processing all received quotations.
  • Ensuring all relevant documents are correctly linked and managed within the LOGIS system.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • An appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of practical experience in Supply Chain or Financial Management.
  • A valid driver’s license (this requirement is waived for persons with disabilities).

Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of Supply Chain Management practices, including Asset Management, PFMA, PPPFA, and Treasury Regulations.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective negotiation abilities.
  • Management: Proven skills in planning, organizing, and time management.
  • Problem Solving: The ability to analyze policies and solve financial or administrative challenges.
  • Leadership: Strong group dynamics and the ability to work well within a team.
