Premier is a leading company with a history spanning over 195 years. We have grown from a traditional milling and baking business into a diverse FMCG leader. We are currently looking for a dedicated Artisan Assistant to join our team in East London.

Job Overview

In this role, you will support our technical team in maintaining our facilities and equipment. You will work closely with the Handyman to ensure our plant operates smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on rotational shifts, including after-hours and overtime when necessary.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance on heavy mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Support the Handyman with daily building maintenance tasks.
• Complete assigned repair jobs efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment through consistent housekeeping.

Requirements

• Education: A Matric certificate is essential. You must also be willing to further your studies to progress within the technical field.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience working as an Artisan Assistant.
• Skills: Ability to work with heavy machinery and a commitment to workplace safety.
