Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Artisan Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Coordinator and help ensure our mining operations meet production targets through reliable electrical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain Medium Voltage (MV) reticulation infrastructure for both surface and underground mine workings.
- Ensure a continuous and reliable power supply for the mine.
- Perform planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and assist with project work.
- Uphold the company’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) standards.
- Follow all legal requirements and Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) regulations.
- Implement management decisions and maintain high safety standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Relevant Trade Test Certificate.
- Full N2 Certificate, including trade theory.
- Proof of qualification, such as a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE), SETA statement of results, or a formal learnership agreement.
- At least three years of experience as an Artisan Electrician within a mining or plant environment.
- Medically fit to work in both surface and underground environments.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication skills.
