Artisan: Millwright – Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)

Clover is a company built on excellence, diversity, and a commitment to making every aspect of our business “Way Better.” We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Trade-Tested Millwright to join our technical team at our Gqeberha branch. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of our Tetra Pak machinery, ensuring our production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Role Overview

As a Millwright, you will perform essential repairs and preventative maintenance. You will work on a variety of equipment, solving technical problems and finding creative ways to improve machine performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
  • Perform routine repairs to ensure maximum machine reliability and availability.
  • Conduct fault-finding and root cause analysis to identify why machines fail and how to prevent it.
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to optimize machinery.
  • Provide technical support to both maintenance and production teams.
  • Inspect and test equipment according to set schedules.
  • Accurately complete job cards and update maintenance records.
  • Participate in team initiatives to improve overall workplace efficiency.

Requirements

  • A relevant Trade Test qualification.
  • A Matric certificate (Grade 12).
  • Proven experience applying technical concepts and maintenance processes.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • A valid Code 08 driver’s license.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme conditions.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
