Role Summary
The Semi-Skilled Artisan will be responsible for maintaining the overall effectiveness of our equipment and plant systems. This role involves technical support, troubleshooting, and assisting with plant upgrades to ensure smooth operations.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the efficiency and safety of equipment and plants on-site.
  • Provide technical support and perform troubleshooting on machinery.
  • Assist with plant and system upgrades.
  • Perform routine system maintenance.
  • Participate in on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience working in a production plant.
  • Technical Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an artisan assistant.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of engineering and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with the OHS Act and Quality Management Principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to handle technical and mechanical equipment.
  • A sense of urgency and a focus on achieving results.

Working Conditions

  • This is a shift-based position in a fast-paced factory environment.
  • The role requires working Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays according to a roster.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Working with heavy industrial equipment.
  • Having your own transport is considered an advantage.
