Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation and Service

• Assist in preparing healthy meals and snacks for learners.
• Handle the cleaning, cutting, and pre-preparation of various food items.
• Help prepare warm or cooked dishes as directed.
• Collaborate with the Head Cook to ensure high food quality.
• Provide support for special school events and functions.
• Step in for the Cook when they are unavailable or on leave.

Hygiene, Health, and Safety

• Keep all workspaces, kitchen equipment, and facilities clean and organized.
• Wear appropriate kitchen attire and follow professional grooming standards.
• Strictly follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Uphold the values and ethos of the school environment.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• A formal qualification in cooking or culinary arts.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Cook.
• An energetic and positive attitude toward work.
• A clear criminal record.
