Job Overview

We are seeking a professional Assistant Director to join our Finance team in Cape Town. This role focuses on accounting and cash management, ensuring that the department’s financial activities comply with national regulations and business practices.

Requirements

  • Education: A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Financial Management or a related field recognized by SAQA.
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in financial management or a relevant field.
  • System Knowledge: Extensive experience using financial systems such as BAS and LOGIS is essential.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, and both cash and accrual accounting standards.
  • Planning: Familiarity with strategic planning and budgeting processes within the public sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to manage revenue and cash effectively.
