The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) is looking for a qualified professional to join the team as an Assistant Director for Agro-Processing. The dtic’s mission is to grow the South African economy by promoting industrial transformation, facilitating investment, and strengthening trade relations.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Chemistry, Commerce, or a related qualification.
- At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the Agro-Processing industry, gained in either the public or private sector.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Conducting detailed research and economic analysis.
- Assisting in the development and review of industrial policies and strategies.
- Coordinating and managing partnerships with various stakeholders and industry networks.
- Demonstrating high levels of computer literacy and proficiency in office applications.
