The National School of Government (NSG) is responsible for ensuring that public servants follow established laws and regulations while using innovation to solve complex service delivery challenges. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team in Pretoria.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A recognized tertiary qualification (NQF level 6) in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business and Information Management, or Marketing and Entrepreneurial Studies.
  • Three to four years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and statistical concepts.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Professional registration with a relevant body is an advantage.

Required Knowledge

The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of:

  • Statistical analysis software such as STATA or SAS.
  • Data mining, data visualization, and managing large datasets.
  • Structured Query Language (SQL) for database management.
  • Big data management, data modelling, and data architecture standards.
  • Public sector policies and legislative frameworks, including the Public Service Act.
  • Advanced use of MS Office and specialized data analysis tools.
