Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate undergraduate Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Industrial Psychology, Management Services, Human Resource Management, Public Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role specifically within change management, organizational development, or a Human Resources environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead various initiatives to improve departmental efficiency and culture. Main duties include:
Change Management and Culture
- Creating and implementing change management strategies and plans for departmental projects.
- Developing strategies to improve organizational culture, including conducting climate surveys and building effective teams.
- Integrating change management activities into overall project plans.
Service Delivery and Operations
- Overseeing the Operation Management Framework and monitoring organizational functionality projects.
- Promoting and implementing “Batho Pele” principles to ensure a people-first approach to service.
- Developing the department’s Service Delivery Improvement Plan, Service Delivery Model, and Service Charter.
Process Improvement
- Mapping all departmental processes and compiling Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency.
Resource Management
- Managing the unit’s human and financial resources.
- Providing general support services and oversight for the assigned component.
