Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Director to oversee financial management and reporting for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other key projects. The successful candidate will provide expert advice, ensure compliance, and manage financial administration to support the institute’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective financial and risk management advice for GCF and related projects.
  • Manage the day-to-day financial administration of project funds.
  • Produce and oversee accurate financial reports.
  • Ensure all activities comply with financial management regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate team development and support organizational transformation goals.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management (NQF Level 7) or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Postgraduate Study: An NQF Level 8 qualification in a relevant field will be considered an advantage.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in finance.
  • Leadership: At least 3 years of experience must be at a supervisory level.
