Role Overview
We are seeking a professional Assistant Director for Human Resource Management. The successful candidate will oversee essential HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and employee development, ensuring all practices align with national standards and departmental goals.
Minimum Requirements
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management as recognized by SAQA.
- At least 4 years of functional experience in Human Resource Management at a Senior Practitioner level.
- Specific experience must include recruitment and selection, conditions of service, performance management, and HR development.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Key Knowledge Areas
Candidates must have a strong understanding of:
- HR methodology, principles, and modern digital HR systems.
- Departmental business strategies, including the Compensation Fund and COIDA.
- Public service regulations and DPSA directives.
- Labour Legislation: Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
- Financial Governance: Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and National Treasury regulations.
- Information Security: POPI Act, PAIA, and Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS).
- Customer service excellence (Batho Pele principles).
