Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A National Senior Certificate and a three-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 6/7) in Public Administration, Local Government, Social Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, and Outlook).
- Licensing: A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel extensively.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Local Government legislation, specifically the Municipal Systems and Structures Act, and project management within the built environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and supporting implementation plans for municipal support across various levels of government.
- Monitoring and reporting on municipal governance, institutional capacity, and legal compliance.
- Supporting and tracking provincial and municipal interventions.
- Managing departmental projects, including oversight visits (Imbizo), handling complaints, and coordinating Ministerial or Director-General outreach programs.
