Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Director to join our People Policy and Analytics team. This role is essential for managing HR policies and data systems while ensuring the department remains compliant with all national education and labor regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • A recognized 3-year qualification in Human Resource Management, Public Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Human Resources.

Key Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong understanding of HR policy development and data analytics systems.
  • Expertise in public service regulations and compliance for educators and public servants.
  • Working knowledge of South African labor legislation, including the Labor Relations Act, Employment of Educators Act, Public Service Act, South African Schools Act, and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.

Required Skills

  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and organize teams.
  • Analytical: Advanced problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, including facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Technical: Proficiency in computer systems, numeracy, and legal administration.
