The Role
We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our Human Resources Management team. As an Assistant Director, you will lead recruitment processes and manage HR information systems to support our workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee recruitment, selection, appointments, and probation processes.
- Manage and update the PERSAL system, including staff establishment and personal records.
- Handle staff transfers, secondments, grade progressions, and translations.
- Help develop and implement Human Resource and Employment Equity Plans.
- Manage HR information and systems effectively.
Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) plus a recognized Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in Human Resource Management at a supervisory level.
- A valid PERSAL certificate or official PERSAL results.
- A valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
Skills and Competencies
- Management: Strong leadership, people management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Public Service legislative frameworks and HR policies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
- Technical: High level of computer literacy and experience with HR information systems.
- Personal Attributes: Ability to manage time, lead change, and work well within a team.
