Key Performance Areas

The successful candidate will oversee risk management and security services to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Implementing risk management strategies and providing support services.
  • Facilitating security management and implementing anti-fraud and anti-corruption standards.
  • Advising management on security policy amendments and the impact of decisions on safety.
  • Conducting security awareness campaigns and training programs.
  • Managing surveillance systems and the classification of documents and hardware.
  • Monitoring security vetting functions according to established information systems.
  • Developing and enforcing safety strategies for personnel, information, and assets.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • An appropriate NQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Financial Management, Risk Management, or Security Management.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience at a supervisory or junior management level.
  • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).

Knowledge and Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations.
  • Understanding of Risk and Security Management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent analytical, report writing, and project management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and people management abilities.
