Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable Assistant Handyman to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will support the Handyman and Facilities Manager with technical repairs, general maintenance, and administrative tasks to ensure the facility remains in top condition.

Main Responsibilities
Technical & Building Maintenance
- Assist with planned, preventative, and emergency maintenance.
- Perform minor repairs to building structures, including woodwork and joinery.
- Fix door locks, handles, hinges, and other accessories.
- Repair venue seating, panels, and various fittings.
- Conduct daily inspections of the building to identify and report any defects.
- Maintain toolboxes and equipment according to company standards.
General Operations
- Assist with moving office furniture and equipment.
- Help unload large deliveries and organize storage areas.
- Provide daily feedback and reports on repairs to the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure all work is done in compliance with the Health & Safety Act.
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with clients and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 10 (Matric preferred).
- 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in maintenance or a similar field.
- Good communication skills in English or Afrikaans.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to site house rules.
