Assistant Maintenance Manager – The Kingdom Resort

The Beekman Group is one of South Africa’s leading corporate players in property development and leisure management. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team at The Kingdom Resort in the North West.

Role Overview

The Assistant Maintenance Manager will support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily operations. The primary goal is to ensure that all buildings, equipment, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Assist in managing day-to-day maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise staff and assign daily duties.
  • Ensure all preventative and repair maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Regularly inspect the resort to identify and fix any issues.

Facilities & Equipment Management

  • Monitor the condition of buildings, machinery, and equipment.
  • Coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance work.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and logs.

Team Leadership

  • Help with staff training and performance management.
  • Promote a culture of safety and responsibility within the team.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members.

Administrative Duties

  • Assist with budget management and cost control.
  • Monitor stock levels for tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Communicate with contractors and service providers.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • A relevant technical qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Building) is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Solid knowledge of building systems, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
