Assistant Manager / Manager – Credit Risk

EY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) team within the Quantitative Advisory Services (QAS) division. This role focuses on credit risk modeling, validation, and advanced analytics for clients in banking and insurance.

The Role

As a Manager or Assistant Manager, you will lead projects that help our clients manage credit risk. You will be responsible for developing analytical solutions, validating models, and providing expert advice on financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Modeling: Develop and validate credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD, ECL) under IFRS 9 and Basel standards.
  • Data Insights: Analyze complex data to create clear visualizations and actionable insights for clients.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, identifying their needs and providing expert solutions.
  • Project Leadership: Manage consulting engagements, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.
  • Team Development: Supervise, coach, and mentor junior staff to help them grow their technical and professional skills.

Requirements

  • Education: A Master’s or Honours degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Actuarial Science.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant working experience in credit risk or financial modeling.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAS is required. Experience with Python, R, VBA, or SQL is highly valued.
  • Professional Qualifications: Certifications like CFA, FRM, PRM, or Actuarial designations are a plus.
