We are currently looking for Assistant Branch Managers to join our teams at several locations across Cape Town.

Role Overview

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in daily operations and staff management. Your primary goal is to lead a team to ensure operational requirements are met while maintaining high standards of integrity and customer service. You must be capable of managing the branch independently when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily branch operations and staff.
• Ensure all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations are followed.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee the purchasing of scrap metal, ensuring it is graded correctly.
• Keep accurate records of all items purchased and dispatched.
• Ensure full compliance with the Second-Hand Goods Act.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise the team to meet production targets.
• Carry out clear instructions from senior management efficiently.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant managerial experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Strong numeracy and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s license and your own reliable transport.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
