Requirements

  • Matric certificate.
  • 2 to 3 years of restaurant management experience (3+ years is preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Ensure accurate daily financial administration according to company policies.
  • Control expenditure, manage stock, and reduce waste to maintain profit margins.
  • Monitor daily performance targets, including sales, customer counts, and average spend.
  • Take corrective actions to improve business performance and profitability.

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily stock control and inventory management.
  • Ensure the restaurant meets all Health & Safety, hygiene, and maintenance standards.
  • Facilitate action plans to improve internal and external audit results.
  • Ensure the team follows all Nando’s operational standards.

People Management

  • Manage weekly staff rosters to ensure the restaurant is properly staffed.
  • Assist with recruiting, inducting, and training new team members.
  • Monitor staff attendance and manage performance.
  • Ensure all staff are trained on the latest procedures and follow the disciplinary code.

Marketing & Customer Service

  • Support the execution of national and local marketing campaigns.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Use “Mystery Shopper” feedback to improve service quality.
  • Step in for the Restaurant Manager when they are absent.
