Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and confident Assistant Store Manager to join our team at the Cradlestone Mall branch. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in driving sales, building customer loyalty, and ensuring the store runs efficiently. Your goal is to help the brand maintain its competitive edge through excellent service and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales: Increase store profit by encouraging cross-selling, up-selling, and excellent customer service.
- Operations: Manage daily store activities, including stock management, administrative tasks, and reducing stock loss.
- Visual Standards: Ensure the store is well-presented, following brand guidelines for merchandising and promotions.
- Team Leadership: Support and motivate the staff to reach their goals. Manage the team effectively when the Store Manager is away.
- Staff Scheduling: Assist in creating daily work schedules to ensure the store is always properly staffed.
- Customer Experience: Lead initiatives that improve customer loyalty and drive Clicks ClubCard participation.
- Administration: Handle weekly timekeeping, employee records, and other HR-related tasks accurately.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Minimum 50% in both Mathematics and English).
- Qualification: A degree or diploma in Retail or Business Management is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager in a retail or FMCG environment, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
- Financial Skills: Basic understanding of budgets, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy and knowledge of labor legislation (IR practices).
