Assistant Store Manager: Power Fashion (Centurion Mall)
Mr Price Group (MRPG) is a leading fashion retailer in South Africa, specializing in apparel, homeware, and sportswear. We are currently looking for a professional and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our Power Fashion team at Centurion Mall.
Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations. Your main goal is to ensure the store runs smoothly, maintain high standards of service, and lead the team effectively when the Store Manager is away.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Manage and support staff to ensure productivity and high morale.
- Store Operations: Oversee the cash office, handle daily banking, and ensure front-end controls are followed.
- Standards: Maintain excellent housekeeping, merchandising, and display standards.
- Stock Control: Implement security measures to minimize stock loss and manage inventory.
- Sales & Service: Drive sales initiatives to meet store targets and provide a great shopping experience for customers.
- Compliance: Ensure all company policies and procedures are strictly followed.
Requirements
- Education: Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4). A background in Mathematics is an advantage.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing people and overseeing a department.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in clothing retail is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, administration, and organizational skills.
- Personal Attributes: You should be an honest, proactive, and self-motivated leader with high integrity.
