Assistant Store Manager – Power Fashion (Emalahleni KG Mall)
Mr Price Group (MRPG) is a leading fashion retailer in South Africa, specializing in apparel, homeware, and sportswear. We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Assistant Store Manager to join our Power Fashion team at the KG Mall in Emalahleni.
The Role
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations and take full responsibility for the store in their absence. Your goal is to maintain high standards of service, manage the team effectively, and ensure the store remains profitable and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Management: Step in for the Store Manager when necessary and ensure all daily operations run smoothly.
- Financial Controls: Handle daily banking, oversee the cash office, and manage front-end controls.
- Standards & Merchandising: Maintain excellent standards for housekeeping, visual merchandising, and stock display.
- Team Leadership: Assist in managing and motivating staff to maintain high productivity.
- Stock Control: Implement security measures to minimize stock loss and manage shrinkage.
- Sales Growth: Introduce sales initiatives to help the store reach its monthly targets.
- Compliance: Ensure the store follows all company procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Mathematics is an advantage).
- Experience: Previous experience in managing people or a specific department is required. Experience in clothing retail is highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Admin Skills: Good organizational and administrative abilities.
- Personal Attributes: You must be a proactive decision-maker, self-motivated, and highly ethical.
