Assistant Store Manager – Power Fashion (Eshowe)
The Mr Price Group (MRPG) is a leading fashion retailer in South Africa, specializing in apparel, homeware, and sportswear. We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Assistant Store Manager to join our Power Fashion branch in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal.
Role Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations. You will be responsible for leading the team in the manager’s absence, ensuring the store meets company standards for merchandising, security, and customer service. This is a full-time position suited for a leader who is proactive and organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Management: Support the Store Manager and take over leadership duties when they are away.
- Financial Controls: Manage daily banking, oversee the cash office, and ensure front-end controls are strictly followed.
- Operational Standards: Maintain high standards for housekeeping, merchandising, and store displays.
- Stock & Security: Monitor security procedures and implement initiatives to minimize stock loss.
- Team Leadership: Assist in managing staff and maintaining high productivity levels.
- Sales Growth: Introduce sales initiatives to help the store reach its monthly targets.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics is an advantage).
- Experience: Proven experience in managing people and leading a department. Experience in clothing retail is highly beneficial.
- Skills: Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Personal Attributes: You should be a self-motivated decision-maker with high integrity and a professional work ethic.
