Assistant Store Manager – Power Fashion (Harrismith)

Mr Price Group (MRPG) is a leading fashion value retailer in South Africa, specializing in apparel, homeware, and sportswear. We are a fast-growing team dedicated to providing quality products and excellent service to our customers. We are currently looking for a motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our Power Fashion branch in Harrismith.

Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in daily operations. You will ensure the store runs smoothly by maintaining high standards of housekeeping, merchandising, and security. You will also lead the team and manage store activities in the absence of the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily banking and oversee the cash office.
• Support the Store Manager in leading and managing staff.
• Maintain company standards for visual merchandising and store cleanliness.
• Ensure strict compliance with all company procedures and security protocols.
• Monitor stock levels to minimize loss and shrinkage.
• Manage front-end controls and provide excellent customer service.
• Introduce sales initiatives to help the store reach its performance targets.

Requirements and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4). A background in Mathematics is an advantage.
• Proven experience in managing people and overseeing a department.
• Previous experience in clothing retail is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent administrative abilities and a talent for decision-making.
• A proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic attitude.
• High level of integrity, honesty, and professional ethics.
