Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Store Manager for our Power Fashion branch in Nongoma. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations and take full responsibility for the store in their absence. You will help maintain high standards of merchandising, housekeeping, and security while leading a productive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management Support: Step in for the Store Manager when necessary and assist in supervising staff.
  • Financial Control: Handle banking duties and oversee the cash office and front-end controls.
  • Store Standards: Maintain excellent housekeeping and merchandising standards.
  • Stock & Security: Minimize stock loss and ensure all company security procedures are followed.
  • Sales & Service: Drive sales initiatives to reach store targets and ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Compliance: Ensure the store operates according to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements and Skills

  • Education: Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics is an advantage).
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing people and overseeing a department. Experience in clothing retail is highly beneficial.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization: Excellent administrative, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Leadership: A proactive decision-maker with the ability to motivate a team and maintain productivity.
  • Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, honesty, and self-motivation.
