Assistant Store Manager – Power Fashion (Phola Park)
Mr Price Group (MRPG) is a leading fashion retailer in South Africa, specializing in apparel, homeware, and sportswear. We are currently looking for a motivated and professional Assistant Store Manager to join our Power Fashion team in Phola Park, Mpumalanga.
Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. You will be responsible for leading the team in the manager’s absence and ensuring that high standards of housekeeping, merchandising, and security are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily banking and oversee cash office operations.
- Step in as the acting manager when the Store Manager is away.
- Ensure the store meets company standards for merchandising and organization.
- Manage and motivate staff to maintain high productivity.
- Implement stock loss controls and minimize shrinkage.
- Ensure full compliance with all company procedures and security protocols.
- Drive sales initiatives to help the store reach its targets.
- Provide excellent service to all customers.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. A background in Mathematics is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a leadership or people-management role.
- Prior experience in clothing retail is highly beneficial.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- High level of honesty, integrity, and professional ethics.
