About the Role

The Assistant Officer Administration – Training will provide efficient administrative support to the Training Centre at South Deep Gold Mine. Responsibilities include managing training records, legislative reporting, system updates, and documentation control. The role ensures compliance with learning and development requirements and supports the delivery of training services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely training administration support, including bookings, learner registrations, and record updates.
  • Capture and maintain learner and training data on the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Control the Training Centre’s filing system and documentation processes, ensuring audit‑ready records.
  • Issue and manage operator and artisan licences/authorisations in line with governance requirements.
  • Conduct administrative audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with training standards.
  • Compile and submit weekly and monthly training reports, statistics, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure information accuracy.
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes and action logs, tracking follow‑ups.
  • Collate and compile legislative and compliance reports (e.g., SLP, WSP, ATR, SAQA, OBE).
  • Support operational peaks and critical deadlines, including extended hours when required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Certificate or Diploma in an administrative related qualification.
  • At least 2 years of administration experience, preferably within a mining training department.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 systems and Quality Management Systems.
  • Medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk‑based medical examination and Heat Tolerance Screening.
  • All relevant certificates must be attached to your CV for shortlisting.
