About the Role
As an ATM Maintenance Cleaner, you will be responsible for the upkeep of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) facilities. You will ensure that both the machines and the surrounding rooms are clean, safe, and presentable. This role is vital for providing a positive experience for bank customers while maintaining strict security standards.
What You Will Do
- Clean and sanitize ATM machines and the internal rooms according to a set schedule.
- Ensure all ATM environments are kept to a high standard of presentation.
- Inspect sites for signs of vandalism or suspicious devices (such as skimming equipment).
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any damages or security concerns immediately.
- Follow strict security, safety, and access procedures.
- Use a smartphone application to complete digital checklists and report on work performed.
- Travel between various sites in the Durban area as required.
Requirements
- Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial or secure environment like a bank or retail store.
- Transport: A valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle are essential.
- Technology: Ability to use a smartphone and mobile apps for reporting and documentation.
- Skills: Basic maintenance skills and a strong eye for detail.
- Personal Traits: High level of integrity, honesty, and the ability to work independently.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical cleaning duties and moving between locations.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
