About the Role
Hollywoodbets is looking for a friendly and energetic Bartender to join our team in Johannesburg. As part of the Purple Team, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix and serve drinks, snacks, and food to customers.
- Maintain a clean and tidy bar area before, during, and after service.
- Prepare stock requisitions and manage inventory, ensuring fridges are stocked and stock rotation is followed.
- Check customer identification to confirm age for alcohol service.
- Take orders promptly, write them on order slips, and enter them into the POS (GAAP) system.
- Follow up on kitchen delays and keep customers informed.
- Handle payments accurately, whether cash or card, and reconcile sales at the end of the shift.
- Record and report any complaints or incidents to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all internal procedures and dress code.
- Assist with any ad‑hoc duties as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in the service industry.
- Knowledge of POS systems (bonus).
- Understanding of stock management (bonus).
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
- Team player who can promote and sell products effectively.
