About the Programme

This 12‑month learnership is designed to develop entry‑level professionals in Facilities Management and HVAC. It combines classroom learning, hands‑on training, and supervised workplace experience. The programme is aligned with the QCTO Occupational Qualification 103269.

What You Will Learn

• HVAC principles and system fundamentals
• Installation and commissioning of unitary HVAC systems
• Occupational Health and Safety, including working at heights
• Basic electrical and mechanical skills
• Tool use and fault identification
• Professionalism and compliance in the workplace

Requirements

• NQF Level 4, 5 or 6 qualification, or Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science
• Age 18–34 years
• Good physical health suitable for site‑based work
• Medically fit, including working at heights
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Willingness to learn and use tools and equipment
• Ability to work in plant rooms, rooftops and construction environments
• Follow safety rules and technical instructions

Certification

All training and assessment follow QCTO requirements. Only learners who meet training, assessment, workplace and medical fitness criteria will receive certification.
