About the Role
The Divisional Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing all payroll activities within the division. The role ensures accurate, timely payment for permanent and temporary employees, maintains compliance with legislation and company policies, and provides detailed reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify payroll for all employees in the division.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant laws.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports for the Divisional Financial Manager and Managing Executive.
- Review and approve PRP shifts and change requests to align with approved budgets.
- Conduct predictive analysis and business intelligence reporting to improve employment costs.
- Manage leave balances, credit, and replacements, reporting bi‑weekly to GMs.
- Monitor overtime, allowances, and other cost drivers.
- Maintain accurate wage documents and archive records.
- Lead weekly training for wage administrators.
- Participate in operational meetings and one‑on‑one sessions with GMs and finance managers.
- Support audits and ensure audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Payroll Diploma or a degree in Finance with payroll experience.
- Minimum 10 years of payroll management experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax, ETI, UIF, skills legislation, SARS, SHERQ, labour and equity laws, COIDA, and company statutes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, PRP, and SAGE PEOPLE 300.
- Grade 12, Code 08.
