Job Advert Summary
Bidvest Tank Terminals is looking for a Weighbridge Clerk to join our Logistics Department in Richards Bay. The successful candidate will work under the Logistics Supervisor and will be responsible for managing vehicle weights, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and supporting daily terminal operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Computer literate
- Experience in a bulk liquid storage facility or terminal operations (advantageous)
- At least 1 year of previous work experience in a similar position (advantageous)
- Experience with SAP
- Experience operating a weighbridge
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capture all vehicle weights on a shift basis
- Direct vehicles to the correct sites for loading or offloading
- Print audit trails and hand them to the Logistics Department for checking and filing
- Issue Dangerous Goods Declarations as required by the Road Traffic Act and customer requirements
- Report unsafe acts and conditions to the Supervisor on shift
- Assist in investigations of all accidents and incidents
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to deal with customers and transporters
- Good, clear, concise communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of weighbridge operations
