We are currently seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join us as the Chief Director for Tourism Sector Human Resource Development. This role is based in Pretoria and is essential for building a skilled and competitive workforce within the tourism industry.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A SAQA-recognized qualification at NQF level 7 (Bachelor’s Degree).
• Proven leadership and strategic management skills.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Management position.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Director-General of Tourism Sector Support Services, you will oversee the Directorates for Tourism Sector HRD and Governance, as well as Programme Planning and Implementation. Your main duties will include:

• Providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure all human resource development initiatives align with the department’s goals.
• Managing the planning, implementation, and governance of tourism sector HRD programs.
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with educational institutions and tourism industry stakeholders to promote skills development.
• Coordinating and managing the execution of sector-wide human resource development strategies.
• Managing departmental resources and budgets to meet strategic objectives effectively.
