The Limpopo Provincial Treasury (LPT) is looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Cleaner at our Head Office in Polokwane. Our goal is to ensure the sound financial management of the province’s resources to help achieve government objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a neat and hygienic environment. Your daily duties will include:

  • Cleaning and dusting offices and office furniture daily.
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and waxing floors and carpets.
  • Cleaning walls, windows, doors, and glass partitions.
  • Emptying and sanitizing waste bins.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including toilets and basins.
  • Ensuring toilet paper and other supplies are replaced regularly.
  • Maintaining clean corridors, elevators, and common passages.
  • Operating and caring for cleaning equipment like microwaves and vacuum cleaners.
  • Reporting any broken equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Requirements and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Minimum of ABET, AET, or Grade 10 qualification (as recognized by SAQA).
  • Knowledge: A good understanding of professional housekeeping and cleaning procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to safely operate cleaning machinery and equipment.
  • Personal Attributes: A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
