Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Cleaner to maintain a hygienic and safe environment for our patients and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of various areas within our facility while following health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Education: Grade 10 (AET Level 5) up to a Grade 12 certificate. (Please provide a school report with an official school stamp).
  • Experience: At least one year of experience working within a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Batho Pele Principles, Patient Rights, and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
  • Communication: Must be able to read and write clearly.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize wards, offices, corridors, boardrooms, and restrooms.
  • Maintain floors, walls, windows, doors, and kitchen areas to the highest standards.
  • Manage cleaning materials efficiently and report any broken equipment immediately.
  • Ensure all work complies with the Ideal Hospital Framework and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.
  • Uphold patient rights and professional conduct at all times.
  • Support the department in managing patient safety and addressing complaints.
