Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Minimum of AET Level 4 (Grade 9) up to Grade 12.
  • Experience: At least six months of appropriate cleaning experience.
  • Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to take initiative.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Ability to rotate as required.
  • Personal Attributes: Honest, reliable, and able to handle the physical demands of the job while working under pressure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment. Duties include:

  • Cleaning interior and exterior areas, including offices, consulting rooms, bathrooms, passages, and waiting areas.
  • Dusting, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
  • Cleaning high surfaces, walls, windows, stairs, lifts, and fire escapes.
  • Cleaning medical equipment, cupboards, and kitchen appliances (microwaves and fridges).
  • Assisting with laundry duties and cleaning up spillages immediately.
  • Decontaminating and disinfecting surfaces to prevent infection.
  • Removing general and medical waste according to safety guidelines.
  • Serving meals to patients and washing utensils.
  • Performing any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
